Toby graduated with distinction from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Arts (Oxon) degree. He is qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business. He is also a CFA charter holder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Toby also is a member of the Commodity Markets Council at the World Federation of Exchanges and the Futures Industry Association. He frequently speaks at industry conferences and is quoted in Business Week, The Financial Times, and Investor’s Business Daily. Toby has been an active contributor to the CFA Institute’s CFA Program Library since 2000. He was presented with the 2010 Award for Outstanding Contributions to Financial Futures Education by the CFA Institute.
Toby is a member of the Robert Morris Society and the New York University Alumni Advisory Board and has previously been a board member of the Business Council of Foreign Relations. He was a participant in Albright Stonebridge’s Global Risk Forum. He is a regular guest on Bloomberg TV and has appeared in other prominent media outlets, including CNBC, PBS, the BBC, Reuters, and Al Jazeera.
