The Help that RAINN Provides
RAINN provides is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States, and the only organization in the US that specializes in providing services to rape survivors.
RAINN operates Hotline which is a safe, anonymous way for sexual assault survivors to talk with someone about their incident of sexual violence. RAINN also operates National Sexual Assault Online Hotline (NSAC) which is an online hotline where survivors can chat anonymously with a trained volunteer who is a rape survivor or has been professionally trained by RAINN.
RAINN operates national awareness campaigns – including “1in6” and “clicktovictim” campaign – which bring attention to these issues on college campuses and are designed to educate people about sexual violence prevention. RAINN operates the DoD Safe Helpline, a confidential service available exclusively to service members and their families by trained responders.
RAINN operates Rape Abuse and Incest National Network and the National Sexual Assault Hotline which provides crisis intervention, support services, and information about sexual assault to anyone in the United States.
RAINN operates programs for both men and women who have been affected by sexual violence including: support groups; counseling; hospital accompaniment services; legal advocacy and referrals; therapy groups for children who have been affected by sexual abuse.
