THINX was founded in 2012 by Miki Agrawal. It sells underwear designed to be worn during the period in place of a tampon or other absorbent product. Their products include a range of period-proof underwear, thong, boyshorts styles for women, and boxer briefs for men. They use natural fibers like cotton and wool; the fabrics are treated with an antimicrobial coating, so they don’t smell foul. The company’s mission is to improve women’s lives by providing them with high-performance products for a better period experience.
