Keter Sustainability Efforts

Keter Charts Way for Future Sustainability with Three Pillars

Keter has been creating sustainable products for many decades. Almost half of the materials they use for their products are recycled and almost 100% of their products are recyclable. The fight is not over as Keter continues to bring better products and new ways to save the world. According to the CEO, Alejandro Pena, Keter has a responsibility to the shareholders and to the communities in which they operate and the environment.

To ensure that they meet their environmental, social, and governance goals, the company has come up with three pillars to ensure the world is better. The first pillar involves creating better products. Keter creates resin-based home products and garden products to help their customers improve their lifestyles. They strive to create products from recycled materials and make these products 100% recyclable. Their goal is to use at least 55% of recycled materials in their production by 2025. Today, the figure stands at about 40% of total production. They also target to create more innovative products and reduce manufacture of single-use plastics by 2025.

Keter is committed to continue mitigating climate change risk by reducing the waste from production, reducing greenhouse gases in their manufacturing facilities, and creating recycling programs that ensure their products do not end up in landfills. Besides creating a better environment, the company recognizes their social responsibility and has created more slots for women and the disabled in leadership roles. Employees in the company contribute in innovations and in wellbeing programs to make the world a better place. According to the CEO, Keter is not just any other company that follows rules on environmental conservation – the company was built around making a better planet.
