Haroldo Jacobovicz is a prominent civil engineer and entrepreneur passionate about information technology (IT). He has established several IT institutions in Curitiba, Brazil, including Horizons Telecom, Horizons Datacenter, and e-Governe Group. Haroldo developed these firms to assemble the best strategic resources, technical expertise, and human talent to solve IT difficulties using the most radical solutions available.
These companies have impacted the public and private sectors by transforming markets across Brazil. Mr. Jacobovicz’s Horizons has a 100% fiber network, the most revolutionary global equipment, and multi-point redundancy.
Since its launch in 2010, Horizons Telecom has become a respected telecommunications dealer in Brazil. Its extensive development enabled Haroldo to create the Horizons Datacenter to extend the services offered by Horizons Telecom. Horizons Datacenter brings cloud computing connectivity and capabilities to organizations.
Haroldo Jacobovicz was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil, by two civil engineers. When he joined college, Haroldo followed in his parent’s footsteps, studying civil engineering at the Federal University of Parana. It was then that he discovered it to be more exciting. Jacobovicz discovered that if he ventured into IT, he could follow his parents’ spiritual inspirations by creating nothing from something. He read everything he came across concerning the future of IT in magazines and newspapers.
Haroldo Jacobovicz developed a firm known as Microsystem with three of his friends during their final year in college. They shut down this firm a year later, and Mr. Jacobovicz joined Exxon Mobil (then called Esso), where he served as an engineer.
Haroldo rose through the ranks and became a market analyst and the chair of new business and commercial tactics at Exxon Mobil’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. But Jacobovicz dreamed of being an entrepreneur, so he left this company to establish Horizons Telecom, e-Governe, and its companion ventures.
