Bhanu Choudhrie: The Businessman, Entrepreneur, Business Owner, and Philanthropist
Bhanu Choudhrie is as aggressive in business as his father – it runs in the DNA. When he was of age, and after graduating with a degree in International Business and Marketing, the eldest son of Sudhir Choudhrie founded C&C Alpha Group. Just like his dad, he wanted to create an investment vehicle that helped businesses in all industries. Today, the group has interests and investments in utilities, aviation, hospitality, real estate, and healthcare.
Bhanu Choudhrie was born and raised in New Delhi, India. He moved to the U.S. for his studies and later joined his father in London where he started his career. C&C Alpha Group specializes in studying global markets and identifying companies in emerging markets that might need to expand. They then invest in these companies and help them grow. For more than 20 years now, Bhanu has learnt so much about international business and created several subsidiaries from C&C Alpha Group. One of these subsidiaries is the Alpha Aviation Group, which trains pilots in the U.A.E. and the Philippines.
According to Bhanu Choudhrie, it is important for every investor to learn new information to make the best decisions. He has participated in various programs, including the Owner/President Management Program held at the Harvard Business School between 2013 and 2016. After the program, he noted that his mind was opened to different viewpoints.
Bhanu Choudhrie is a philanthropist giving to several charitable works even as he grows Alpha Aviation Group and other businesses. He started giving to the disadvantaged in the society when he was young. He would visit the blind and handicapped and the orphans even without the knowledge of his parents as he noted in an interview. In 2005, his mother, Anita Choudhrie, founded Path to Success, a charitable organization where Bhanu is the director. Through this vehicle, they helped the poor, disabled, and addicts.
