Introduction

Don Manifold is the co-manager of the successful South Australian corporate advisory firm Equity & Advisory. Don, a native of Mount Gambier, a tiny community in South Australia, began his career in Adelaide, then moved to London, Sydney, and Melbourne before moving back to where he started in 2016.

Education

Between 1987 and 1991, Don studied economics at Flinders University, where he graduated with the highest honors. In addition, he studied business administration at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and graduated with an MBA in 2004. When it comes to business education, AGSM is ranked among the best schools for business in the world.

Work Experience

Don began his career in 1990 in South Australia and has since worked in other cities such as Melbourne, and London. He moved back to Adelaide in 2006 to work for KPMG. However, Don left KPMG in 2012. Over the years, he has been providing advice to international transaction advice in countries such as Australia, England, Croatia and Papua New Guinea.

Between 2012 to 2014, he was the leader of Ernst and Young’s (EY) Transaction Advisory division in South Australia. He joined EY in 2015 as the managing partner but left in March 2018.

Accomplishments

Don Manifold has more than 30 years of work experience. For most of these years, he has been dealing with business finance. Don has been an advisor to 60 acquisitions, buyouts, IPOs and capital raisings totaling more than $3 billion. He has managed to produce asset value and independent expert reports for businesses totaling more than $25 billion.

Don has worked in Australia, England, and Croatia, assisting companies in a variety of industries such as financial services, professional services, food, agriculture, and technology. Some of the high-profile transactions he advised include the sale of S. Kidman & Co, the buyout of Powerhealth, the acquisition of ABB Grain and the purchase of Adelaide Bank.
